About Aaron

Aaron Woods is a recently retired Senior Executive from Xerox where he was responsible for the U.S., supporting Hardware and Professional Services programs. He has lived in the Wilsonville community for over 24 years and has 30 years of business and IT services experience. He is a product of a community college where he earned his first degree. He completed his MBA at Marylhurst University and then became an Adjunct Instructor for two years.

As co-founder of the Wilsonville Alliance for Inclusive Community (WAIC), he works to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion through intentional dialogue, information seeking, and advocacy.

Aaron is a  graduate of the Wilsonville Citizens Academy, which has prepared him for roles on local-government boards and commissions, as well as area nonprofits. He has served on the Wilsonville Development Review Board and currently serves on the city’s planning commission.

Woods extensive community volunteer efforts include co-Chair of Wilsonville Alliance for Inclusive Communities; Co-Chair DEI committee, Oregon Community College Association; Wilsonville Planning Commission; Wilsonville Design Review Board; Wilsonville Arts, Culture and Heritage Strategy Task Force; Wilsonville Community Health Fair and serving on his HOA Board of Directors.

His volunteer work has earned him a spot in the IT Hall of Fame, Tech America Champion Award and he was named a 2021 Wilsonville Rotary First Citizen Award finalist.

Aaron also brings valuable experience serving on the Board of Clackamas Community College, and through his work with Digitunity and as a former IT Executive to bring more career and technical education programs to our high school and college curriculum, strengthening bridges to the vocational needs of our growing industries.

Aaron and his wife Shirley have five children that reside in the Denver Colorado area.
