Committed to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are important and interdependent components of a functional community.  Through my work with the Wilsonville Alliance for Inclusive Communities (WAIC), my participation in the Wilsonville DEI Exploratory Group, and in my own lived experience, I believe that providing opportunities of access for all people regardless of race, age, color, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, religion, national origin, migratory status, disability/abilities, political affiliation, veteran status or socioeconomic background is a critical part of participation in our society.

I will work to ensure that all voices have equal access to participate in the legislative process and help to sustain a climate where people are comfortable contributing their perspectives and experiences.  This work begins with ensuring that every eligible resident has the ability to exercise their right to vote.  It continues by ensuring that they are able to be heard by their elected representatives and that our elected officials consider the, often unequal, impacts to some populations when supporting specific policies.  My goal is to always provide justice, fairness and access to opportunities for all.
