I had the privilege of visiting the Ironworkers Apprenticeship Training Facility this past week. Seeing how the program has been structured to provide hands on training, teaching fall protection, how to tie together rebarb, as well as complicated computations. It is programs such as this one that need to be replicated throughout the state. Career and Technical training to provide enhanced opportunities for those who want to participate in skilled trades. I will continue to strongly advocate for resources to make these programs a reality in District 13 and throughout Oregon.
